Excel doesn't recognize XLFormulas

Postby hsalamat » Sun Apr 14, 2013 5:16 pm

I opened the BondBasic.xls (Chapter 12) file and both settelement date and Yield cannot be calculated (#NAME?). It seems that Excel doesn't recognize/calculate =XLFormulas.Bond.AddPeriod(D6,D9&"d",1).

Do we need to add any add-in. I have Office 2013 installed.

thanks,

Hooman

1) it is necessary to read "GettingStarted.pdf", before using xls files

(section 6 of the .pdf), the reader should first follow instructions

explained in section 1 and 2 (all points so 1-2-3-4-5)

It is not

possible to skip parts before section 2.6 to use xls file. Section 2

point 4 is ok?

2) As I wrote in "IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER" in

"GettingStarted.pdf": "The code ..it comes 'AS IS' ...

The software has

been developed using: Windows XP and 7; Visual Studio 2005, 2008, 2010;

.Net

Framework 4.0; Excel 2003 and 2007."

I have not tested it with

excel 2010 and 2013. (I haven't them...)

a 64bit version of Excel can

generate problem, take a look to

Here is a big book on Excel with VB.NET that might give some pointers.
