vivekb,
Thanks for the feedack. Some remarks
1. No knowledge of C# needed, although you need to know *some* language
2. Excel, yes but not all that much
3. We do discuss finance but we use the theoretical (no code) finance books
4. We do parallel code as well

Hi
First of all i should say it is very good to have a book like this on the shelf using C# as there are veru few books such as Pratical .Net for Financial Market and C# for Front Office.
IMO instead of this book teaching some basics of C# ( as it is told that it has 50% of it dedicated to C# ), i think this should assume that people reading this book have working knowledge of C#. And instead it should cover more of integration of C# with finance and mathematics and cover more finance related topic with lot of working examples using C#
Also this should show us how can we use new .Net features such as Parallel Computing in finance or in Trading systems
I would also like to say that this books seems to stress a lot on Ecel Integration with C#, this shouldbe minimal as there are lot of thirdy party components available in the market to do that kinda of integration and do all the gound work, so the reader should not be bothered about it
At the end i personally would like to have a book which covers more in the Trading ( Finance ) side, making C# as a Prerequisite.
This is a personal opinion of myself with lot of C# background and no finance background, striving to find a book which can help me achieve that
cheers

Just thing about a class structure to represent a generic trading system
and came across your proposed text. Now providing a schema for object
model of server side Indicator Builder and Trading System Builder, which
ideally can be persisted as XML which client-side coding of trading
systems, and/or form basis of GUI drag-and-drop GUI system builder
would be very handy.
Damien, if you want to me have I look at your (alpha/beta) text for
feedback etc, then please forward to me (ben 'at'
webcabcomponents 'dot' com).
